I know the feeling. MY boy will be 31 in Dec, and still lives at home. He
hasn't worked since last October and hasn't had a driver's liscense in
forever. He spends all his time drinking and partying. I'm not getting him
out again, and I'm not paying any more fines. He'll just have to do the
best he can. Good luck, and don't think you're the only one!
I'm really sorry you are having to go through all of this. I hope maybe
he'll straighten out. You've done a whole lot for him Cat. Most likely
more than he really deserved. You did your best. The rest is up to
him.

Sometimes you just have to walk away.

Stay strong. As long as every body bails him out and cleans up his
"messes", he won't face reality and sober up. It is very hard as a parent,
you want to help your child, but they have to learn to help themselves
first.

If it was up to me, he would stay there for a very long time. At least now,
I know where he is and he is not driving around drunk. He has never hurt
anyone, but himself. Joey got it honest, his dead mama was a drunk and her
liver was gone, she died at the young age of 52.
